I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to request you to inform Mr. Secretary Bonar Law that, so far as Their Lordships are concerned, there is no objection to the proposal to allow the exportation from Hong Kong of gold leaf on a pre-war scale to White List firms in China and Siam and to unsuspected firms in Java.
