With reference to your letter of the 24th January, No.
3741/1916, relative to an application by the Siemens China
Electrical Engineering Company for permission to tranship
to Macao certain machinery ex the S.S. "BULOW", I am directed
by the Board of Trade to state, for Mr. Bonar Law's information that they are disposed to suggest that this transhipment might be allowed on condition that no money is paid to Messrs.
Sulzer Brothers till after the war, unless proof can be produced by that firm that payment for fitting the electric motore was made by them to the German firm before the war.
