12th ultimo respecting the detention of smell arms
alunition et Hong Kong from the United States, I am
directed by Viscount Grey of Fallodon to tranarit
to you herewith copy of a telegram which he has
addressed to His Majesty's Minister at Bangkok and to
state that it would, in Lord Grey's opinion, be
convenient if Colonial Governors were instructed
always to report protests of the nature in question
by telegraph and, at the salle tile, to consult His
Majesty's Representative in Sian or at Batavia, as
the case may be, by telegraph.
