Hon. Sir:
In consideration of His Majesty's
Government consenting to the shipment to us of pee- nuts from Hong Kong, we herewith give the following undertaking which shall resin in force so long: 88
Great Britain is at war.
We undertake not to dispose of any pea-
nuts which we may import from British possessions, Protectorates or Protected States, other than by
sale to dealers in the United States or Canada who
will use them solely for their own manufacturing purposes or resell to other manufacturers in the United States who will use them solely for their own
manufacturing purposes.
We undertake not to export directly or indirectly to enemy countries or to neutral countries in Europe or to sell to others without satisfying ourselves that they will not export or sell for export directly or indirectly to such countries any other peanuts which may be in or may come into
possession.
