With reference to your favour of the 16th October and our letter of the 15th October vel ve 50-day re-
ceived from our New York Office copy of a letter address- ed by them to the British Consul Generul,
York.
We are forwarding you a copy of this letter fr 1
which you will see that the advertisement of hich you
coplain was carelessly "orded on account of ignorance
on the part of a Japanesu flerk in the Metal Dertient
of our New York Office.
From thu la ter part of the letter it all be
noticed that our New York friends stipulate in their
cлtructs that the material aust not be delivered to
the enees of Great Britain.
By this time you will probably have received the
report of the British Ambassador at "ishington, and
in face of the explanations given by our New York
Office and also ourselves we trust that the malter
will be settled to your satisfaction and that you will
be coletely convinced of our bona fides.
