I would point out that my work was not appreciably
interfered with, and that the public service has not beer pre-
judiced.
In conclusion Sir I beg to refer to my record of
work during the 11 years I have been in the service, and
especially to the fact that the Heade of my Department, Mr. E. D. C.
Wolfe, Mr. D. W. iratman and Mr. G. N. Orms, have on occasions
expressed themselves as more than satisfied with my work. When-
ever the Head of the Sanitary Department happers to be absent. I
am left in charge of the Department and I respectfully submit that
I have conscientiously discharged my official duties.
The only previous occssion on which I incurred
official censure res in May 1912 when I was suffering from
insomnia, but since that ecossion I have never been absent from
duty without leave or incapable of discharging my duties
efficiently.
I therefore Bir again beg and earnest by hope that
this isolated lapse may be overlooked by His Excellency.
