I have the honour to advise you that this Chamber having been in consultation with the Shanghai British Chamber of Commerce, regarding reparation for Submerire Outrages, are in receipt of the following telegren dispatched by that Chamber
and affiliated China Obambers to the Home Government :-
"Wired Government fellewing as reparation Submarine "Outrages merchants vessels affiliated British Chambere
“Commerce Canton Chefoe Changsha Facchow Nowohwang
"Swatow Shanghai Tientsin unanimously urge inclusion "by Government of ten for tan policy conditiers peac6 –
"Stewart".
My Committee being in sympathy with the spirit of the
foregoing have directed me to approach the Government te despatch
the felldring wire to the Secretary of State so that the feeling
of the Heroantile Community of the Colony méy be conveyed to the
Imperial Government.
