ÁS YOU LPS no doubt aware this Company's Now Power
station at North Point would have been completed and running
sre this but for the unfortunate War in Europe, the advent of
which has retarded work in connection with the necessary plant

The initial delay in getting delivery of the plant in
question was of little moment ka ve were in a position to meet
all demands from the present station, and with the prospect
of Horth Point being available for supply of next summer's
load thers shs no anxiety on our part with regard to the
future. We are now, however, somewhat exercised at th#
contents of a sable received by us from Hesere. Preece, Cardew,
Enell and Rider, the Company's Consulting Engineers in London,
Colonies and who also set in a similar capacity for the Crown Agerés,
intimating that Makers oannot guarantee when delivery of
Boilers and Transformers will be made. No doubt all the works
have been requisitioned for the manufacture of War Material,
and such being the oase there is now no possibility of our
Kew Station being ready in tim for next summer. In order,
however, to meet the ever increasing demand for current we
have made arrangements locally to augment our presert plant,
and sans should be sufficient to carry us through rext year,
but at the rate at which new corrections are being applied for
it is almost essential that North Point station should be
ready for 1918 load. It is unnecessary for us to emphasize
