sir,
I have the honour to appeal to you on the subject matter
of my stupulsory retirement from the service of the Hongkong Government and of the pension which has been granted to me.

Until recently I was Hinth light-keeper stationed in Green Island lighthouns and was,in point of service,the senior member of the Idghthouse Staff in Fongkong.

On 1st June 1916 after 3 month's vacation leave I vBS compulsorily rotired,ostensibly on ace¬unt of my eyesight,but really beenusse of certain economies which were to be effected by the introduction of the "Aga light " in Cape Collinson Lighthouse, thereby abolishing the post of Might-keover there. 4. Cape Collinson was in sharge of another nan end it was to allow him to continue in the service that I was discharged, although his was the post abolished.
