In these circumstances, and especially as concerni ing Section d. of previous paragraph and paragraph 4 of letter under reply, it would seem desirable before again referring to the Admiralty that I should be furnished with more detailed information as to the manner in which progress with the recla- mation scheme will be affected by any failure to complete the interchange of land between Colonial Government and Admiralty.

I may add that I am not aware that there is any intention of repudiating the terms of exchange confirmed in my letter of 26th of March 1915; and I cannot see that any modifi-

if cation of the trasfer from War Department to Admiralty, found desirable after the war, would render the conditions of interchange more onerous to the Colonial Government.
