In continuation of my despatch No. 228 of the 2nd ultimo, I have the honour to inform you that I understand Mr. Pilling has had a recurrence of the tuberculous symptoms from which he was suffering. I therefore telegraphed to you this date to request that before an appointment under this Government be offered to him he be subjected to a searching medical examination.
