These additional charges I estimate will amount to about $10,500 for interest and 85,000 being ten per cent on a valuation of $50,000. To be on the safe side I would ask for your authority by telegraph to provide a sum of $75,000 for the purpose of the resumption in the Estimates for next year. So far as I am able to judge
the state of the Colony's finances will admit of this expendi-
