With reference to paragraphs 4 and 5 of my des-

-patch No. 283 of the 12th August last, I have the honour to

inform you that the quarters at the Peak School have proved to

be not sufficiently commodious for both Mrs. Main, the head-

-mistress, and Miss Skinner.

I have, therefore, approved of one of the rooms

being used for school purposes, the remaining three rooms, which are small, being occupied by lrs. Main, and the allowance of

$50 a month is being continued to Miss Skinner.
