Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of
your despatch No. 42 of the 12th February, 1916, and to inform
you that Mr. Brown was informed in accordance with the suggest-
-ion of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty. Mr. Brown
who is now on his way to England has, I understand, written to
Mr. Arthur Henderson, M.P. withdrawing the remarks made with
regard to the Steward of His Majesty's Transport "Manitou".
