I have the honour ke forward an extract, with translation, from the "Wa Tax Yat Po" newspaper of the 9th. July relative to the execution at Canten of a man named Chung Hin-chau.

The man Wong has been identified as one Tong Kwok- -wai who did tailoring for the brothels in Hongkong, where he bew me acquainted with chung Kin-chau, the, as stated, samed his living by telling fatmes in the brothels.
Chung Min-chau secpied a very humble station in and the Pelics of Hengkeng can get not evidence to show that he was concerned in any revolutionary movement, à very clear and detailed statement made by his wife shows that the man was un- -doubtedly deœyed to Cmten, and this Government has also relia- -ble evidence that he was in fact shot on the 28th. June.
I shall be glad if the Chinese Authorities may
be requested to explain the circumstances in which the execution took place, and if they may be asked to furnish a full account of the part taken by Wong Kwok-wai in effecting the arrest,
