With reference to your enquirer
-er, relating to the inclusion of the Netherlands Trading Society inthe list of firms which the War Trade Department consider it undesirable to facilitate or finance, I am directed to any that it is considered that the wording of the entry,i.e. "for China and Siam", makes it clear that a recommendation not to deal with the Hongkong branch is not intended, even though it is true that the Netherlands Trading Society has neither a branch nor an agency in Siam.
