AVISONEN E. Hei BESTLE. Í 140 TO JUDA Enaqab val

sale of Fuel Economy apparata has been for many years on the War Office and Admiralty lists and has now many urgent orders en hand from H.H. Arsenals and Dockyards.

In March of this year the Admiralty allowed the payment to us by Messrs.Vickers Limited of the sum of £11,300, as com- pensation for loss of commission on the sale to Roumania of

the three Brazilian Monitors, which were taken for H.M. Fleet.

At the beginning of October we obtained under the

Government scheme for advances against foreign debts, a loan

of £3,000, and in this, as in the former case, we may take it that both Departments of H.M.Government concerned, satisfied themselves very fully as to our standing.

Four members of our staff joined H.M. Forces some time

ago, and to each we gave a bonus of 25 and a promise of re-

engagement at the same salary as before.

of the depleted

number remaining, four of us are in the Volunteers, all those

who are of military age are willing to serve as soon as called upon, and most have already enlisted in Army Reserve 3 under

Lord Derby's scheme.

If any further particulars are desired, we shall be

happy to furnish them.

In the meantime we enclose for your guidance, in addition to our letter to the Hongkong Chamber of Commerce (6th Nov.1915), copies of correspondence with the Home Office (October 1915) and with a very well known firm of Engineers in Leeds (June 1915),
