His Excellency's suggestion that we appointed Mr.Cheetham and, after having done so and on the strength of that appoint - ment, that we ordered forward a cargo, the value of which is quite £ 50,000.
It is against this cargo that the London branch of the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation has since advanced us the 2 34,000, referred to in our above cable.
We have also telegraphed to the Texas Company asking them to cable to the Liquidators of Messrs. Reuter Brockelmann

had formally notified the Hongkong partner of that firm that the old Agreement was
superseded by the new one between Sanders Rehders & Co.Ltd. and the Texas Company and that they had that partner's confirma- tion.
