Referring to your letter of the 3rd inst. (No.24,963/1915)
and to our interview of yesterday with Mr.Tennyson, we beg to in-
form you that we have sent the following cable to Messrs.Johnson,
Stokes & Master, solicitors, Hongkong:
"By suggestion Governor's cable nineteenth February, we
appointed Cheetham, advising Governor (of the) appoint
ment and consequent new shipment. Hongkong Shanghai
Bank advanced us (against that shipment) thirtyfour-
thousand pounds. Upset arrangements unthinkable, en-
tailing heavy loss. Refer Cheetham's copy our letter
(to) Governor twentysixth February. Colonial Office
seen all papers, satisfied agreement Cheetham and new
contract Texas, substituting old. Request your assistance
(for) Cheethan.
Liquidators apparently obstructive."
