Dear Sir,
Te take the liberty of writing to you under the following
otrowstanoes :-
Before the War, we did a very considerable business with
Mesara, Carl Boediker & 00., of HAMBURG, and HONGKONG.
For this firm, the Authorities in Hongkong năminated as liquidators
Measra, John D. Hutchison & Co.,
and to the latter firm, we shipped a very large quantity of goods, which
we had on order, and high were in process of manufacture. These goods
have alrealy been limidated to a consiterable extent, and Hessra.
Hutchison write us that they expect to finish this liquidation within
a very short time, but in addition, Hessra, C. Boediker & Co., are
indebted to us, as per enclosed statement, for pre-war invoices, and
as no doubt a very considerable splna will be left from the liquid-
ation, we beg to ask thether our claim oamot either be paid out of
such surplus, or anyhow earmarked against it.
We are, fear Sir,
Yours obediently.
Ferd. Hilbe
