The British community do not want the German back in Hongkong
ready go start business again as soon as the war closes, with
heir business houses and workpeople all ready to hand, to
make a fresh start. It is neither sound business nor mere
ustice to the Britshers in this Colony and this Chamber there-
cre suapoteku respectfully asks that the Germans be sent
rey and repatriated after the war so as to make it difficult
for them to resume business again in Hongkong and China.
The Committee of this Chamber is aware that for
olitical reasons the rules guiding the liquidation of German
rus in Great Britain and her Colonies should as far as
csible be similar but conditions of life are very H
and allowances should be made for these.
In omnclusion the Committee of this Chamber truste
