We are favoured by the receipt of your letter dated 30th. Sept.
having reference to our formal application dated 20th. ulto. for
permission to enter at Hong Kong 70 Cases Apollinaris Water and 1
Case Advertising Material originally shipped per 8.8. "Bayern" for
Tientsin, and in reply thereto we beg to state that we did not send
out any invoice covering the case of advertising material, the
contents not being for sale but merely for free distribution, In
such instances we are in the habit of sending only a detailed list
of contents showing the total cost for customs purposes, and we have
aftached a copy of the list sent to Tientsin in this instance to the
statutory declaration which we transmit herewith in accordance with
your request.
