The Central Committee of the Over-Seas Club begs to acknowledge your communication of the 27th, concerning a donation of £4.500 subscribed by the Tai Yan Bank, and by the members of the British and Chinese community in Hong Kong,
to purchase aeroplanes for the use of the Royal Flying Corps.
We have duly received the remittance from the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, and are already in communication with the Director of Military Aeronautics at the War Office, concerning the presentation ceremony. The donors' wishes concerning the inscription shall be carefully carried out, and photographs of the two aeroplanes, with the inscription shall be taken and forwarded to you for transmission to His Excellency the Governor of Hong Kong.
