under date of the 30th April for the importation of 50
tons of Norit for use in this country.
Referring to the conversation the writer had
with Mr. Ashley, we beg to advise you we wish to
ship a quantity of tons of orit to The Tai noo Sugar Company (owned by the Butterfield Swire Co.Ltd, of Hong
hong.
Fr. Ashley informed the writer that it would be
necessary to make application for permission to import
We write to Norit to the Colonial Authorities concerned.
ask whether in this case application should be made to
the Colonial Office.
This material will be shipped direct from
Amsterdam to Hong Kong.
