REG 29 AY 15

Shameen, Canton.

10th March 1915,

Brondesbury, London.

Since my last letter dated 23rd January, I have

not been able to write you until now as I am so troubled by such distressed circumstances which puts me into a serious quandry. presume that you have received a cable from r Blair from which content you will understand the present

position. You will be surprised to hear that the Government is now re-opening the whole case, and a number of people are supposed to be concerned with the whole case and under a detention warrant. Broker Fung was arrested by the Inspr. Vilden, being in prison for a week. He is released with 20,000:00 dollars bail probably by bench pending the decision of the Secretary of the Chinese Affairs. 7 knew from Mr. Goldring that I am one of the people they are looking for. Then I am discussing the matters with Goldring and thinking then I have reason to defence myself by proving out that I am not doing any unlawful business. However, as it is not a Court case I have no chance to defencing myself at all, but to submit whatever the authority might put me into any trouble

it is unjustice.

even

Kr. Goldring advised me to prepair 10,000:00 dollars cash for bail and 50,000:00 for security with the Government guarantee, myself not dealing any more with the unlawful articals, neither having any option of venturing to remain in the Colony under such unjustice Government, nor intend to furnish such a big amount for such unreasonable requirement therefore return to Canton on the 1st day of February in order to protect myself and the firm and to avoid from being detained by the authority cruelly. In conclusion
