I am directed by secretary Jar E.Grey to
inform you that his Majesty's Government have had
under their consideration an application that
they should facilitate the carriage of part of
the cargo of the s.8. "Bayern" delivery of which
has been obtained from the master to the consignees
for whom it was originally destined, and have
decided that there is no objection to their accedin,
to the application as regards those items of the
cargo which are specified in the accompanying list.
1 an therefore to request that you will
issue on application being made to you in regard
to any, or all of these items a document or docu-
ments, stating that His Majesty's Government have
agreed to their shipment and that there is no reaso..
why the goods in question should be interfered with,
or the veel on which they are conveyed delayed,
at any British port through which she way pasa.
The shipping companies concerned desire that such
a document should be carried on each ship which
loads any part of the cargo in question.
The Companies understand that they must
