With reference to your letter of the 5th instant 49180/15 I am directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to inform you that he concurs in the terms of the reply which you propose to return to Messrs, Frame and Company, relative to the detention at Hongkong of a consignment of cassia shipped by Mr. Kahl of Canton to the United States of America.

I am to point out that according to in formation in the possession of this Department Mr. Kahl's initials are "J.A." and not"T.A," as given in your draft reply.
