FOREIGN OFFICE
November 8th 1915,
70.
With reference to your letter No.48663 of the
27th ultimo, I am directed by Secretary Sir E.
Grey to state that he would be interested to learn
whether the Italian Consulate General at Hongkong
has really been removed to Canton and to request
that, if no objection is seen, enquiry may be
made of the Governor by telegraph.
A copy of a note which Sir E. Grey has ad-
dressed to the French Ambassador in regard to
Monsieur Volpicelli's proceedings is enclosed. His Majesty's Ambassador at Rome has been instructed to bring them to the notice of the
Italian Government.
I am,
The Under Secretary of State
Colonial Office.
Sir,
Your most obedient,
humble Servant.
