I am directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter of the 20th ultimo

and I am to state, in reply that instructions have been
issued to His Majesty's Representatives in China and
Japan to notify to His Majesty's Embassy at Washington by
telegraph ali shipments of antimony from those countries
to the United States of America, so that it will not be
necessary that the Governor of Hong Kong should be instruct
-ed similarly to notify any cargoes of antimony shipped
elsewhere than at Hong Kong.
Subject to the above observation, Sir E. Grey concurs
in the terms of the draft telegram to the Governor of Hong
Kong forwarded in your letter under reply.
