Needles in neutral ports. I have been in communication with Mr. Steger since last December with a view to getting these goods here, as you will see from copies of the corres- pondence. I received however, only particulars from Schlueter with regard to the Hongkong account for needles lying in neutral ports and forwarded these then at once to Mr. Steger, for we can do nothing with our local agency of the H. A. L. Siems and Company, but Shanghai also do not aeem to have advanced in the matter, at least I have heard nothing about it from Mr. Steger. I have again made enquiries according to my letter of the 8th June, a copy of which is enclosed. We are very anxious to get these Needles as our market remains favourable, and 100 per cent profit and more is easy to make, especially of certain kinds (4-12).
