Dear Sir:
Re shipment of Hides and Produce from China to Italy.
We have so far made it a rule to stipulate for all
business done with Italian Buyers that they must procure
a sworn statement legalised by a British Consul that the
goods are for Italian consumption and will not be re-
exported to a country at war with Great Britain.
Kindly
let us know whether, in view of Italy having joined in the
war on the Allie's side, these certificates are now still
necessary for shipments from China, to Italy, as also for
shipments from China to Port Said in transit to Italy.
