With reference to your letter 40843/14 of the
25th November 1914 relating to the deportation of
prisoners convicted before the Supreme Court for China
and sent to Hongkong to serve their sentences, I am
directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to transmit to you
herewith a copy of a despatch from the Judge of
His Majesty's Supreme Consular Court for China (Sir
Havilland de Sausmarez) to whom the question was referred
and to request that you will furnish this office with
any observations which you may have to make on this
addition to the suggestion contained in your letter and
also on the last sentence of Sir Havilland de Sausmarez
