Gentlemen,
With reference to your letter Medical 444
dated 25th March 191b regarding my application for
permission to apply for a situation in Police Force
in England or for employment in some other Colony than
Hong Kong I re-engaged for a further term of five
years before leaving the Colony, but my reason for
making the application is because I want to get married
and settle down and I am afraid Hong Kong would not be
much use to me in this direction, and if you could
see your way clear to erant me this favour I would be
very much obliged,
