Sir,
I have the honour to transmit herewith
in original for return the pension paper of Mr.
A.Collett which we have received from the
Government of Hong Kong. In the covering letter
which accompanied it, no indication is given
of the date from which the pension takes effect.
and I have accordingly to request the instructions
of the Secretary of State on this point. It will
be noticed that in the attached paper the date
given as that of his discharge is the date from
which his leave commenced.
