Question in House of Commons. Is license for
Grand Hotel held by man of German nationality and licence for Peak Hotel by a Gerum recently naturalised. Are both of military age? Did unofficials of Licensing Board all vote against the grant of these Licences? When these licences were refused last year were they granted by an overruling order of the Colonial Government. What action has been taken on the present occasion and what are reasons which inspire the official policy in the matter. Reply by telegraph.
