With reference to my Despatch No. 79 of the 3rd. of March last, I have the honour to transmit for your informa-
-tion the enclosed copy of a report written by Professor Digby, Professor of Anatomy in the Hongkong University, who now holds the
chair of Clinical Surgery at the Government Civil Hospital endowed
by Sir Robert Ho Tung, on a visit paid to the University and
Hospital by a party of American Medical men representing the China
Medical Board of the Rockefeller Foundation.

In June, 1914, I instituted the appointments
at the Government Civil Hospital of Honorary Visiting Physi cim,
Honorary Visiting Obstetric Physician, and Honorary Visiting Surgeon,with clinical classes for medical students of the Universi- -ty in Medicine, Obstetrics and Surgery, and appointed thereto Dr.
G. E. Aubrey, H.D., Dr. Forsyth, M.D., and Mr. E. L. Martyn Lobb,
F.R.C.S. (England), L.R.C.P.. M.B., M.S. (London). Mr. Martyn Lobb left the Colony some months ago and I appointed in his place
Professor Digby, F.R.C.S. (England) M.B., B.3. (London).
The object was to improve the teaching and training of students in the Medical Faculty and the favourable impression made upon the American visitors shows that very useful
work has been accomplished.
