Duties of Inspector of Postmen and Infestigation officer.

He will be responsible for the whole outdoor staff of the
General Post Office e.g.
1. Launch officers.
2. Crew of Launch.
3. Postmen.
He will arrange the duties of all Postmen in conjunction with
the Head Postman.
He must make arrangements for the regular transfer of postmen
from one duty to another e.g. petmen on office duty
should return to delivery work after 6 months.
He must supervise the work of the Collection and Delivery
postmen and must satisfy himself by personal tests and inspections that correspondence is cleared from pillar
boxes and Branch Offices at the stated times and that the
Delivery postmen deliver the correspondence praptly and
do not loiter either on the way to or on their return
from their walks.
He will test the walk of ench Collection and Delivery postuan
not less than once anually and fill in the necessary
form indicating any proposed changes arising from any
increase or decrease in the work on each walk.
He will inspect the Branch Offices not less than once weekly
and ascertain that the officers in the Branch offices and
the postmen are carrying out their duties regularly and satisfactorily. He will enter the dates of nis visit in a book kept for the purpose in each Branch Office.
He will inspect all pillar boxes monthly and note and report
all deficiencies in the P.W.D. Repairs Book.
He will keep a diary in which he will enter his daily duties.
The dairy will be submitted weekly to the Postmaster-
-General.
