Report on the death of Sergt.Kendall Hongkong Police
Sergeant William Kendall, aged 48, was admitted into
Hospital moribund at 10.25 a.m. on Sunday July 25, 1915.
He was quite unconscious
•
the breathing was stertorous
-
the lungs were full of rales over front and back. The pulse is
thready and running and very small and the heart's action weak.
It was stated he had not passed urine since 5 a.m. the
previous day but only two ounces were present in the bladder on
catheterization.

He did not rally at all, but died at 12.5 p.m. one hour
and a half after admission.
The cause of death was acute Oedema of the lungs, and
Cardino Failure.
I am informed he was under the treatment of Dr. Fitz-
-williams for the preceding three weeks,
