To

GOVERNOR, HONGKONG.

Date

19th July, 1915.

Mitsui shipped thirty tons of tin from Hongkong

in Fushima Maru which had been sold by London house to Mertons, London, for delivery at optional porta Marseilles, London, Swansea. Hongkong shipped to London, Swansea,

Marseilles. London house discovering this applies for permit to discharge tin at Marseilles but it was subsequent- ly arranged that tin should come to London and that licence to reship to Marseilles should be applied for on arrival. Mertons however instructed ships agents Marseilles to dis- charge tin there which was done. Have you any observations and can you say how tin was consigned.
