Report on an Ordinance intituled
An Ordinance to amend the law relating tō 251
the punishment of flogging.
The object of this ordinance is to provide that corporal punishment may not be inflicted more than once for the same
offence.
Section 2 is taken from section 36(1) of the Criminal
Justice Administration Act, 1914, 4 & 5 Geo.5, c. 58.
In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excellenc the Governor may properly assent and in the name of His
Majesty and on His behalf.
