the Secretariat Office Confidential files, there seems no good
reason for keeping the originals at Government House.

Secret Despatches would in accordance with
Colonial Regulations continue to be filed at Government House.
I may add that the Confidential Register and files in the Secretariat are kept by a thoroughly trustworthy clerk apecially selected for the purpose, and that with a view to the
preservation of official documents a large strong room has been constructed as stated in paragraph 2 of my Despatch No. 343 of the
21st. October, 1914.
