office, Tai Po.
On the return of the permanent Land Bailiff I was transferr
ed back to the Police Department but two days later received
a temporary appointment in the Sanitary Department as Second Class Inspector, where, within three months, I passed the first examina- tion in Sanitary Science.
I left that Department with unblemished character on being
transferred to the position I now hold.
I do not mention the above facts with a view to prove
that I have done more than my duty, but to show that I have carried out my duties honestly and diligently in every Department during
my eleven years' service, and also to endeavour to show that
both in qualifications and character should enjoy equal rank with
the first class overseers and other officers of similar rank in
other Departments.
In conclusion, Sir, I would respectfully request that you place my case before His Excellency the Governor for His Excellenpy b kind re-consideration together with your favourable recommendations
on my behalf.
