With reference to your telegram 26th May

your telegram 8th June I am awaiting report from British Consul-General Yunnanfu. Information received is that production of spelter has not been large until recently as it did not pay. Now owing to rise in price to 32 dollars per picul production has been stimulated and it (is) principally (because) goes to Japan for manu-
