Report on an Ordinance
intituled An Ordinance to amend the Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, 1914, and for purposes connected therewith.
The object of this ordinance is to introduce into the Colony
certain provisions of the Trading with the Enemy Amendment Act, 19.
Sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 1 are founded on section.

As the Principal Ordinance referred to specifically to the Te
with Germany and Austria-Hungary it was necessary to make it apply
to the War with Turkey. This has been done by section 2,

unnecessary to create the machinery or give the powers dealt with i
sections 1 to 5, and section 7, of the Act, especially in view of
provisions of section 4 of the Alien Enemies (Winding up) Ordinance
1914, as amended by section 3 of the Alien Enemies (Winding up) A
Ordinance, 1914. No need for custodian, or for power to pay into
has been felt here up to the present.
Section 9 of the Act appeared unnecessary in the Colony in vis sections 4 and 6 of the Alien Enemies (Winding up) Ordinance, 1914, respectively amended by sections 3 and 9 of the Alien Enemies (Win
Amendment Ordinance, 1914.
Section 11 seemed unnecessary in the present conditions of the

In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excellency the Governor may properly assent in the name of His Majesty and on His
