Machine Gun, Civil Service & Scouts Companies
5 Sections have been trained with the Maxim guns. The preliminary
training was carried out with landscape targets and fable "C" 1. G. Course has been carried out on the now short range.
3ignalling Section
A Signalling 3ection, consisting almost entirely of trained
The Section is very telegraphiste was formed and numbers 23. efficient in flag signalling and with the heliograph and lamps. Much credit is due to Sergeant Blair for the efficient state of
the Section.
Stretcher Bearer Section

are nearly all qualified pharmacists. The present strength is 8.
Cadet Company.
This Company which now numbers 1 Officer and 67 cadete ia over

Drills have been regularly held and the boys have been instructed in swimming. A number of the boys were employed as orderies and messengers by the Commandant, the Cable Censor and the Provost
Marshal and proved very useful.
The Annual Cump was held at Doue Hill from 2nd to 11th January 1915 inclusive. Their work in camp was inspected by H. E. the
Governor and the Commandant on 8th January.
The annual inspection of the Company has not yet been held.
Mobilization
The Corps was called out for Aotive Service by Proclamation of H. R. the Governor on August 5th 1914 and the mobilization posi- tions were manned. The outlying detachments were withdrawn on 22nd August 1914. The remainder of the Corps, which forms part of the General Reserve, were quartered in Murray Barracks. On the 16th August the latter were moved into camp on the Corps Parade Ground; on 16th December the camp was disbanded.
On March 6th 1915 the guard at Headquarters was re-established, and mounted alternate weeks with the Reserves 2 Officers and 100
