In reply to your letter dated 18th. March last No. 51233, I have the honour to inform you that I consider a fair remuneration to Messrs. Dizon and Reed for the extra work they are doing in connection with the Agencies would be at the rate of 272 each per annum being the same as that draw by most of the Postal Agente.
January, 1914.
This rate of payment should date as from 1st.
I have not dealt with the question of remune- -ration for the years 1911, 1912, and 1913 which I prefer to leave to you to decide upon. I think however that these two conscientious and energetic officers should not be made to suffer for the lapse of time in the settlement of this question.
