Consul-General at Marseilles states that hitherto
by courtesy of local authorities British passengers from Beatern ports have been allowed to land and obtain from Consulate passes to England vissed afterwards by Prefecture Marseilles. Local authorities desire that in future British travellers should produce on landing British passports or consular passes visa of French Consul at port of embarkat- ion not obligatory. Travellers without passports may be at any time refused permission to land.
