HONGKONG, 25th. Horch,
1915.

With reference to my Despatch No. 109 of 25th.
March, 1915, in which I reported the death of P. C. Coucher who was mauled by a tiger in the ew Territories, I have the honour to inform you that I have decided that, as there is no taxidermist in the Colony who could carry out so large a work, the skin of the tiger should be sent to the Crown Agents who will be requested to arrange for the animal to be stuffed and set up with a view to placing it in the local Museum.
2.
I propose, subject to your approval, that the cost incurred should be defrayed by the Government and I have no doubt that the Legislative Council will concur in my recomenda- -tions. I shall be glad therefore if you would, after communicat- -ing with the Crown Agents accord your sanction to the expendi- -ture.
I have the honour to be,
sir,
Your most obedient,
humble servant,
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
LEWIS HARCOURT, M.P..
