(e). The staff consists of 23 trained British Inspectors,

who give their whole time to sanitary work, five

rural Police who act also as Sanitary Inspectors, a Storekeeper and 664 Interpreters, Foremen, Artisans, Bullock drivers, foavengers, Bargemen, and Coolies

Phose whole time is occupied in house-cleansing and

acavenging, disinfection, clearing brushwood and

collecting receptacles for water from the hillsides

and waste lands in the neighbourhood of dwellings,

in oiling pools and other sanitary and enti-malarial

worke.

(g). quinine has been regularly distributed to certain

schools in the most malarious part of the Colony.

(h). There are no estates employing indentured labour. (1). The question of housing is dealt with in the Public

Health and Buildings Ordinance a copy of which was
