TELEGRAM. The Governor of Hong Kong to the Secretary of State
for the Colonies.

706329 There is no truth in the report referred to
in your telegram of February 16th. A Liquidator has not been appointed. The mission have themselves
appointed a firm of chartered accountants to look after their funds and property here and no objection has been made to their drawing what funds they require. I have no objection to Swiss missionary coming here to manage their property, but there seems to be no neces- aity for this.
